Exotic Pet Care

When we say “We see anything that fits through the door”, we mean ANYTHING! We are proud to be among the few area veterinarians who welcome exotic pets into our hospital. We offer both wellness and sick pet exams to many types of exotic pets!

• Iguanas & Other Lizards
• Birds

Most exotic pets do not need to be vaccinated, with the exception of ferrets. In Connecticut, all ferrets should be vaccinated for the rabies virus. Additionally, it is recommended ferrets receive yearly inoculations against canine distemper (yes, “canine”).
